vom Nordexpress

Vom Nordexpress is a hobby kennel for black Giant Schnauzers in Sülstorf, established in 1990. With one to two litters annually, the scale is deliberately kept small. The focus is on healthy, even-tempered, eager-to-work and elegant dogs; the breeding is based on older, healthy East German lines. The dogs and puppies grow up together with Persian cats in a mixed pack. Many offspring prove themselves as family and companion dogs, but also in demanding tasks. Among other roles, they are employed as service dogs with the Bundeswehr, police and security services, or perform valuable work as search-and-rescue and avalanche search dogs. Dogs from the kennel are also represented in dog sports, for example in protection work, Obedience and tracking dog sports. Teams have been able to present themselves at club and state trials as well as at German and international championships for Giant Schnauzers. Further fields of work range from truffle searching and hunting to showing. The kennel is affiliated with the Pinscher-Schnauzer-Klub e.V.
