Typical is a water dog kennel in Achterberg, run by Rosita. It concerns four breeds: Barbet, Cão de Água, Lagotto Romagnolo and Spanish Water Dog. The kennel name has been registered since 18 May 1983; since 2006, the kennel has focused on water dogs. The dogs are bred mainly for personal enjoyment and to keep a puppy for themselves, with no more than one or two litters per year. The site features, among others, the dogs Luigi, Eon, Joe, Leevi, Phoca, Nijntje, Rachel and Klaartje. The dogs’ health, behaviour and genetics are monitored, and the site contains a great deal of background information on these subjects. The puppies leave with a pedigree and health records and are personally delivered to their new owners’ homes.
