Troldmarkens

Troldmarkens is a dog breeding kennel in Brande focusing on Gordon Setter and English Setter. The kennel’s direction is hunting and field trial dogs that must work efficiently in the terrain and have a natural, stylish search. Functional working qualities and breed-typical conformation are central to the kennel’s breeding work. The breeding dogs are selected first and foremost from among dogs that have demonstrated their qualities during hunting or at field trials. Troldmarkens places emphasis on female lines with documented strength and is happy to combine linebreeding with the necessary outcrossing. The stud dogs used must also come from solid female lines and preferably from litters with broad quality. In selecting breeding dogs, Troldmarkens prioritizes a stable temperament, good ability to find game, and a well-developed understanding of hunting. Trainability is likewise included in the assessment, together with style and a large format. The goal is dogs in which qualities for hunting and field trials go hand in hand with a good disposition.
