Torthorwald Papillons Phalenes

Torthorwald Papillons Phalenes is a dog breeding programme in Dumfries, recognised by Dumfries and Galloway Council. Its work focuses on Papillons and especially Phalenes, the drop-eared form of the breed. Border Collies, Porcelaines and Maltipoos are also listed among its breeds. The breeding programme places health first and screens its dogs for inherited conditions. Its testing includes NAD, Pap-PRA1, vWD1 and FVII. Considerable care is devoted to the breeding programme and to maintaining the dogs and puppies in good condition. Phalenes are a particular interest of Torthorwald Papillons Phalenes. They differ from Papillons only in the carriage of their ears, and both varieties may occur within one litter.
