Teckels

Kennel Teckels in Tølløse is a dog breeding establishment with DKK breeder training. The breeding establishment works with smooth-haired Dachshunds in special colours and patterns. The history goes back to 1964, and the aim is to breed healthy and beautiful dogs that can be suited to family life, showing and hunting. Over the years, the kennel has, among other things, worked to introduce the dapple pattern and the chocolate colour into the Danish Dachshund population. However, the colours are considered together with the dogs’ overall qualities: harmonious proportions, supple and elegant movements, long heads and a correctly positioned set of teeth. Kennel Teckels also places emphasis on the quality and shine of the coat. Temperament and mental strength are included as central criteria, so that the dogs can be calm, people-oriented and function well together with other dogs. The breeding establishment’s dogs have also been recognised by both Danish and international judges.
