Kennel Swinger in Vipperød breeds Border Collies on a small scale and has completed the DKK breeder training course. The kennel name reflects that the dogs often receive names with musical inspiration. The dogs live as an integrated part of the home and have access to a large, varied garden instead of traditional runs. Normally, only one litter is planned every three to four years, so each puppy can receive plenty of attention during its early life. The breeding programme places emphasis on type according to the FCI standard, but also on health and a stable, uncomplicated temperament. The breeding dogs have undergone mental testing, eye examinations and HD radiography. Puppy buyers are welcomed without any requirement to show, as the most important thing for kennel Swinger is that each dog gets a good family life. The breeding programme offers ongoing support throughout the dog’s life and contributes financially towards HD radiography of sold puppies. Experience with coat care, showing and the breed standard is part of the work with the dogs.
