Sur le Quivive in Bendorf is dedicated to breeding Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. The focus is on athletic, eager-to-work dogs that are encouraged in accordance with the breed’s characteristics. The kennel is affiliated with the Deutscher Retriever Club e.V. and is planning an F-litter for spring/summer 2027. The intended young bitch is handled in dummy work and has also demonstrated her eagerness to work during the Hunting Aptitude Assessment. She also passed a dummy test and the temperament test and was able to win DRC and VDH junior champion titles at shows. A male bred in Denmark was selected for the mating; his temperament and working potential were important criteria. Dogs from the previous A- to E-litters are developing for a variety of tasks, including search and rescue, therapy and hunting dogs. Companion dog, dummy and hunting tests, as well as champion titles, are also represented. HD and ED radiographic results are available for all five litters and are within the breeding-suitable range. The kennel emphasizes retriever-appropriate activities, such as dummy work, hunting, search and rescue work or mantrailing.
