Silky Dukes Cattery

The Silky Dukes Cattery in Geislingen has been dedicated to breeding British Shorthair and British Longhair since 2012. However, four-legged companions had already been part of the cattery’s everyday life before then. The focus is on the distinctive physical characteristics and fascinating nature of these cats. It all began with a British Shorthair male; later, long-haired siblings joined the group of cats. Step by step, this developed the cattery into a breeding program that takes both coat varieties of the British Cat into account and appreciates their diversity. Another focus is on Colourpoint cats and special coat colours. First, a cat with Colourpoint markings arrived, followed shortly afterwards by a Colourpoint male. Since all the cattery’s cats carry the genetic predisposition for Colourpoint, these colour varieties are also to be taken into account in the breeding of British Shorthair and British Longhair.
