Sibirskaya Zima Yakutian Laika breeder in Katharinenheerd · Germany

Sibirskaya Zima breeds Yakutskaya Laika in Katharinenheerd, a northern dog breed also known as Yakutian Laika. The history of the breeding program began in 2002, when dogs of this breed were first imported from Russia to Western Europe. The first animals came from two litters that were among the earliest entries in the Yakutsk studbook. This beginning grew into an enduring passion for the Yakutskaya Laika. Sibirskaya Zima focuses on the versatile qualities of these dogs: they are considered eager to work, quick to learn and intelligent, while also being sensitive and resilient companions. The breed is suited to an active life together and can form a close bond within the family. The breeding program is affiliated with the Deutscher Club für Nordische Hunde e.V. Sibirskaya Zima is thus dedicated to a northern breed whose history and qualities are closely associated with activity, endurance and a friendly nature.
