Sandfelds

Sandfelds is a smaller dog breeding in Brande with a focus on Akita Inu; in the breeding’s own presentation the breed is referred to as American Akita. The breeding is described as serious and based on a limited number of dogs, which creates a manageable and family-oriented setting. In the selection, Sandfelds emphasizes health, a good temperament, and an exterior that reflects the breed’s characteristic type. The dogs also take part in an ordinary everyday life as family dogs rather than being part of a larger kennel stock. This is a central part of the described approach to keeping dogs. As Sandfelds only has a few dogs, litters are not planned at short intervals, and puppies therefore occur rarely. The original presentation mentioned an expectation of a litter in 2018, but contains no newer litter plans. Sandfelds has also completed the DKK breeder education.
