Sandfelds American Akita breeder in Brande · Denmark

Sandfelds is a small dog breeding operation in Brande focusing on Akita Inu; in the breeding operation’s own presentation, the breed is referred to as American Akita. The breeding operation is described as serious and based on a limited number of dogs, creating a manageable, family-oriented setting. When selecting dogs, Sandfelds places emphasis on health, a good temperament and a conformation that reflects the breed’s characteristic type. At the same time, the dogs are part of an ordinary everyday life as family dogs rather than being part of a larger kennel population. This is a central part of the described approach to keeping dogs. As Sandfelds only has a few dogs, litters are not planned at short intervals, and puppies are therefore rare. The original presentation mentioned an expectation of a litter in 2018, but contains no more recent litter plans. Sandfelds has also completed the DKK breeder training course.
