The Rottweiler kennel vom Friedrichshof in Borkheide looks back on a long-standing connection between dog sport and breeding. Practical experience with dogs goes back to 1972. Initially, German Shepherd Dogs were the focus, with which numerous trials were completed over time.
The turn to the Rottweiler took place in 1980. This breed replaced the previously handled Shepherd Dogs and has remained the firm focus ever since. From the sporting work, the decision developed in 1981 to build up their own breeding program.
The first Rottweiler litter was born in 1982 and opened the breeding history of the Friedrichshof. Over the years, more than 25 further litters followed. The kennel thus stands for Rottweiler breeding continued over decades, whose background lies in active dog sport work and in the experience from many completed trials.
