Pour l’amour in Attendorn is dedicated to breeding Shetland Sheepdogs with the aim of producing sound-minded and healthy puppies that conform to the breed standard. The puppies grow up in the house with access to a garden and thus experience everyday life in a home environment. For health prevention, the puppies are dewormed at two-week intervals. In the seventh or eighth week of life, they are vaccinated and identified by microchip; a veterinary health certificate is also issued. An eye examination by a DOK ophthalmologist is likewise part of the planned program. Visits to the puppies can be scheduled from their third week of life. When they move to their new homes, they receive an EU pet passport, health certificate, eye examination report and the relevant documents. Food for the initial period, toys and a CD with memories of their time as puppies complete the package. The kennel also provides support with any questions concerning their upbringing after they have been handed over.
