of Hanging Rock breeds Labrador Retrievers in Dausenau. The kennel has been under the protection of the VDH since 1996, and the first litter was born at the beginning of 2001. Thus, the breeding program has many years of experience with the breed and is affiliated with the Labrador Club Deutschland e.V. For breeding, Labradors are selected that were either imported from England or descend from established English lines. They correspond to a traditional type without being excessively heavy and are described as mobile, agile, and strong in character. Contact with the families of the puppies is maintained even after they leave. Joint events and seminars on training complement the support. Around four fifths of the puppies were presented for a temperament test at the Labrador Club Deutschland; according to the kennel, the proportion of dogs that have been X-rayed and evaluated is also of a similar magnitude.
