The od Zlaté Sovy kennel in Neuss is run for Old German Shepherd Dogs and is affiliated with the Holländischer Schäferhund Club Deutschland e.V. The breeding of short-haired Dutch Shepherd Dogs has existed since 2021 and focuses on the dogs’ versatile qualities. Of particular importance are a balanced temperament, health, an appealing appearance and sporting abilities. For breeding, dogs are selected that demonstrate social compatibility and environmental adaptability and can cope in everyday life and in a family environment. The dogs are regularly trained and entered in trials, especially in agility and mantrailing. In addition, sled dog work, Dog Diving, target object search, trick training and show handling are part of the leisure programme. In this way, the kennel places shared activities, the development of the dogs’ abilities and practical suitability for everyday life at the centre.
