Little Cottage Bloodhound breeder in Dahlem · Germany

Little Cottage is a dog kennel in Berlin-Dahlem whose breeding profile includes Bloodhounds. The training of search and rescue dogs is also highlighted. In this context, the kennel describes how different breeds can be deployed in search and rescue operations depending on the task. For searching for people, a Bloodhound bitch is trained as a mantrailer. This work involves following human trails; the aim is to pass a search and rescue dog examination for mantrailers with the Bundesverband für Rettungshunde. Border Collies, on the other hand, are prepared for area and rubble searches. The operational readiness of the dogs intended for area and rubble searches is reviewed annually in accordance with the applicable examination regulations of the Bundesverband für Rettungshunde. Little Cottage thus combines breeding with a focus on search and rescue dog work and the requirements of various search disciplines.
