Labrador Retriever Hobbyzucht "von Muffling" Labrador Retriever breeder in Schiphorst · Germany

The Labrador Retriever hobby kennel “von Muffling” in Schiphorst is dedicated to a carefully planned breeding programme for Labrador Retrievers. The focus is on healthy, active, family-friendly dogs with a friendly, even-tempered nature. Breeding is carried out in accordance with the guidelines of the Deutscher Rassehunde Club and in compliance with the Animal Welfare Act. When selecting breeding stock, the kennel places particular emphasis on health and sound temperament. Before being used for breeding, the dogs are examined for hip and elbow dysplasia; the X-rays are assessed independently. Regular examinations for hereditary eye diseases are also carried out. The breeding dogs are also genetically tested for hereditary myopathy, prcd-PRA, EIC and narcolepsy. Selecting suitable breeding stock is intended to reduce the risk of the corresponding diseases in the puppies. Bitches are bred no earlier than their second year of life and are retired from breeding after a limited number of litters or raised puppies.
