The breeding program in Waltrop is dedicated to the Swedish Vallhund. The dogs live in the house as well as on the farm and in the garden, closely integrated into the breeding program’s everyday life. The puppies also grow up in a home environment and become familiar with the usual sounds of daily life. The breeding program operates under the VDH and in the Verein Berger des Pyrénées Deutschland e. V. Before leaving, the puppies are dewormed several times and receive their first vaccination. From the eighth week of life, they can move into their new home with a puppy package, pedigree and EU pet passport. Even after the handover, the breeding program offers future owners advice and support. The dog is described as lively, family-oriented and eager to learn. It can form a close bond with its family, quickly learns the commands it is taught and at the same time shows a playful, clownish side. Consistent training with clear rules is important.
