Juelsgaard's Labrador Retriever breeder in Hadsten · Denmark

Juelsgaard's is a small breeding program of Labrador Retrievers in Hadsten. The breeding program focuses on the breed's health, mental qualities, conformation and working abilities as central elements of its breeding work. The goal is to preserve a versatile dog that combines a breed-typical appearance with good qualities in everyday life. The dogs originate from show lines, while emphasis is also placed on the Labrador's original function as a hunting dog. A desire to retrieve and the ability to work in retrieving are therefore included in the assessment, just as enjoyment of training and a welcoming temperament towards both people and other dogs are prioritised. Health and temperament have the highest priority at Juelsgaard's. The offspring are X-rayed for HD and ED as part of the long-term work with the breed. The breeding dogs are also re-examined for relevant diseases and defects, so that the breeding basis can be continuously assessed.
