iz mira älf Borzoi breeder in Hörstel · Germany

The iz mira älf kennel in Hörstel is dedicated to the Borzoi, an elegant, powerful sighthound with an aristocratic presence. It is affiliated with the Deutscher Windhundzucht- und Rennverband e.V. (DWZRV). The breeding program focuses equally on health, a balanced temperament and the functional characteristics of the breed, as well as a typical appearance. The dogs intended for breeding undergo veterinary examinations. These include cardiological examinations by specialists from the Collegium Cardiologicum, eye examinations by DOK veterinarians and a thyroid check in the laboratory. The dogs live in the house and also have sufficient space in the garden. Interaction with smaller dogs is part of everyday life. After their first vaccination, the puppies gradually become familiar with various everyday situations, such as trips into town and calm stays in busy places. They are also taught initial basics such as walking on a lead and simple signals. For their future homes, time, attention and a loving home are considered particularly important; shows or dog sports are not a prerequisite.
