Isaksen's Leonberger breeder in Odense S Denmark

Breeder in Odense S of leonbergers, with particular focus on the parents’ good and stable disposition and temperament.

The kennel in Odense S is dedicated to Leonbergers and is based on many years of experience with large dogs. The interest in large breeds began in 1986 with a Bernese Mountain Dog, while the Leonberger has been part of the kennel’s everyday life since 1997. Today, the kennel has its fourth Leonberger. The decision to breed Leonbergers arose from the experience with the first dog of the breed. Its calm nature and good temperament demonstrated the qualities that the kennel values highly in the Leonberger. The breed is described as a large and affectionate dog that can live together with both people and other animals. The second Leonberger became the foundation of the breeding program. Her disposition and temperament, as well as the same qualities in the puppies’ father, were decisive in the choice. Above all, the kennel emphasizes that both parents have a good and stable temperament, so that these qualities can be passed on to the puppies.
