Hemias Joy Continental Toy Spaniel breeder in Trige Denmark

Kennel Hemias Joy in Trige breeds Papillon and Phalène with a focus on temperament, health, responsible puppy matching and support throughout the dog’s life.

Kennel Hemias Joy in Trige has extensive experience with dogs. After 35 years with German Shepherds and Rottweilers, the breeder chose to work with Papillon, a smaller dog with desirable qualities. In 2022, the first Phalène came to the kennel. Papillon and Phalène are the same breed with different ear varieties, and both are included in the breeding programme. A stable temperament, good health and harmonious conformation are important goals. The breeding dogs are examined for patella and PRA1, as well as undergoing eye examinations. They are shown at exhibitions in Denmark and abroad. The kennel has completed the DKK breeder education programme. Each puppy is placed with consideration for the prospective owner's daily life and wishes regarding the dog's role. The breeder provides advice throughout the dog's life and is happy to follow the puppies' development, to the extent that the new owners wish. Visits to see the puppies grow up can be arranged by appointment.
