Golden Cottage Mountain

Golden Cottage Mountain breeds Golden Retrievers in Hüttenberg, in the district of Rechtenbach between Gießen and Wetzlar. The rural surroundings with meadows, fields and woodland offer the dogs a variety of opportunities for walks and breed-typical activities. Enthusiasm for the breed began in 2006 with the arrival of the first Golden Retriever in the family. The keeping of several Retrievers led to the desire to establish a breeding program of their own. The first litter was born in December 2014; the kennel name Golden Cottage Mountain has been protected with the FCI/VDH since 2014. One of the breeding program’s females successfully completed training as a therapy assistance dog in 2013 and received her breeding approval in 2016. The breeding program follows the strict requirements of the Golden Retriever Club e.V. The focus is on healthy, even-tempered Golden Retrievers that conform to the breed standard. Golden Cottage Mountain places particular emphasis on a friendly temperament, good trainability and breed-appropriate activities for the dogs in a natural environment.
