GCCF Breeder Scheme

Mighty Kitty Maine Coons is a small home-based Maine Coon breeder in Buxton, Derbyshire. Kittens are raised with a family and other pets rather than in a cattery, encouraging early socialisation. The programme aims to produce healthy, affectionate cats that are true to the breed. Registered with the GCCF, the breeder reports a GCCF inspection with no advisories and compliance with higher standards for its local-authority licence. Welfare, enrichment and socialisation guide daily care. Health records, including veterinary information, are kept for every cat and kitten, while breeding cats are DNA tested. The twelve-week socialisation programme covers household and outside noises, bathing, grooming, carriers and short journeys. Kittens also encounter different surfaces, litter types, animals, feeding puzzles and scratching posts, with harness familiarisation available on request. A personalised care manual accompanies each kitten, and post-placement advice remains available.
