Galanta Whippets

Galanta Whippets is a small, serious family breeding kennel for whippets in Gjern. The kennel has had the breed in its everyday life since 2006 and has been working with breeding since 2014. With the DKK breeder education as its foundation, the kennel prioritizes a responsible and well-considered approach to the breed. Approximately one litter of puppies is planned per year. The breeding dogs are selected with a focus on both physical health and a stable mental foundation, as these qualities are considered essential in breeding work. The limited number of litters makes it possible to follow each process with great attention. Diaries from previous litters provide insight into the puppies’ first, important weeks of life. Experiences from this early period are shared here, so that those interested can gain a better picture of how the puppies spend their first time with the kennel.
