Eastsidebulls plans to establish a small hobby breeding program with Bulldogs. The focus of the future breeding goal is health, without losing sight of breed purity or the applicable breed standard. An even temperament and the prerequisites for a healthy, happy life as a dog are equally important. For breeding, dogs are to be selected according to careful and strict standards. Animals that are not used for breeding will also remain within the breeding environment and are intended to live there permanently with good care. The planned selection is therefore based not only on breeding criteria, but also on the long-term well-being of each individual dog. Genetic profiles of the parent animals and puppies are planned to document ancestry and breed purity; a pedigree certificate is also to be prepared. Eastsidebulls takes the view that the health situation of the Bulldog can be improved through deliberately selected, healthy matings, rather than relying on outcrosses or backcrosses.
