DK Vejvad Turkish Angora breeder in Kjellerup · Denmark

DK Vejvad is a cattery in Kjellerup in Central Jutland focusing on the rare Turkish Angora. In 2024, the cattery acquired a female kitten from a thoroughly bred Norwegian maternal line through cooperation with an experienced breeder. It is described as Denmark’s only active breeding program for the breed. In 2026, DK Vejvad plans to bring in an unrelated male cat from Finland to expand the breeding base. Kittens are occasionally offered in several FIFe-approved colour varieties. The next litter is expected at the end of 2026 or the beginning of 2027, and interested parties can be placed on a waiting list. The Turkish Angora is described as social, affectionate and playful, as well as enjoying the company of the whole family. The breed can also live together with other pets in the home. Despite its semi-long coat, it requires only limited grooming and is highlighted as a close companion throughout life.
