DK Vejvad

DK Vejvad is a cat breeding cattery in Kjellerup in Central Jutland with a focus on the rare Turkish Angora. In 2024, the cattery got a female kitten from an inbred Norwegian maternal line through collaboration with an experienced breeder. It is described as Denmark’s only active breeding of the breed. In 2026, DK Vejvad plans to bring in an unrelated male cat from Finland to expand the breeding base. Kittens are occasionally offered in several FIFe-approved colour varieties. The next litter is expected in late 2026 or early 2027, and interested parties can be put on a waiting list. The Turkish Angora is described as social, affectionate, and playful, and happy to have the company of the whole family. The breed can also get along with other pets in the home. Despite the semi-long coat, it requires only limited coat care and is highlighted as a close companion throughout life.
