Deutsche Doggen von der Fahner Höhe

The Deutsche Doggen von der Fahner Höhe breeding kennel is based in Ballstädt in Thuringia, at the foot of the Fahner Höhe. Dogs have always held a high status in the family: Initially, the family lived and worked with German Shepherd Dogs before the Great Dane took its permanent place. The connection to the region and many years of experience with dogs shape the background of the breeding kennel. The desire for a four-legged companion arose again when the family moved into its own house in 1993. The breed had not yet been decided. An old photo album recalled the grandfather, who could be seen in one photograph with a Great Dane. This picture became the decisive impetus for the later choice of breed. Above all, the powerful and impressive appearance of the Great Dane convinced the breeding kennel. The decision in favor of this breed was not regretted and developed from a family history as well as from many years of experience living with dogs. The breeding kennel is affiliated with the Deutscher Doggen-Club 1888 e.V.
