Chihuahua vom Strassertaler Winzerprinz is dedicated to breeding Chihuahuas of the old or moderate type. The focus is on dogs in which an excessive expression of extreme breed characteristics is consciously avoided. The breeding program is affiliated with the SRV and works with DNA profiles of the parent animals to make the puppies’ ancestry traceable. The puppies grow up in the house and garden in a family environment. There, they experience everyday life together with children, large dogs, and cats. Particular attention is paid to careful imprinting and socialization during the early developmental stages, so that the young Chihuahuas are well prepared for their later life in a family. When they are handed over, the puppies are microchipped, dewormed, and vaccinated according to their age. They also receive a pedigree and an EU pet passport. The rearing combines a family-oriented environment with preparation of the puppies tailored to the needs of the breed.
