Cattery the Summer-Obsession

The Cattery the Summer-Obsession is a small, family-run Maine Coon cattery in Oberhausen, in the heart of the Ruhr area. The cats live as full-fledged family members together with the breeding cats in a spacious apartment with a terrace and garden. The kittens also grow up in this home environment from the very beginning. The well-being of the animals is the Cattery’s main focus. Veterinary care includes regular blood tests and stool samples as well as ultrasound examinations for HCM and PKD. The young animals are cared for from birth, fully vaccinated and microchipped before moving to their new homes, and receive a current health certificate. When selecting breeding cats, the Cattery pays attention to balanced pedigrees and the lowest possible inbreeding coefficient. For its Maine Coon kittens, it wishes for a loving home where their closeness and companionship are appreciated – both with pet owners and in responsible breeding programs.
