Cattery Castro is a small family cattery in Koersel (Belgian Limburg), entirely devoted to the Burmilla and affiliated with FIFe through Felis Belgica. Its name pays tribute to Castro, one of the two cats who sparked the family's passion for pedigree cats. The breeding cats: – Lolita, chocolate silver shell, exceptionally calm; – Pixie, her golden shaded daughter, full of energy and very affectionate; – Huxley, a black silver shaded male born in Latvia. The kittens grow up in the living room, in contact with children, the dog and the other cats, so that they become sociable and self-confident cats. They join their family at around 13-14 weeks (15 weeks for departure abroad), vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, with a Felis Belgica pedigree and a passport. Those staying in Belgium are neutered before departure. Visits are possible from 6 weeks, and reservation is made with a €350 deposit. As the Burmilla does not like being alone, the kittens join homes that already have a cat or adopt a second one, unless someone is very often at home. They must not be allowed to roam freely: a fenced garden, balcony or enclosure is ideal.
