Blue Bird's Castle is a Shar-Pei kennel based in Zwijndrecht. Its breeding programme follows the breed standard set by the FCI and the Belgian Kennel Club, with particular attention given to health and temperament. The kennel aims to raise dogs that combine soundness with the distinctive qualities expected of the Shar-Pei. All breeding dogs undergo hip and elbow scoring and have a DNA profile. They are also checked for patella status and tested for SPAID and POAG/PLL. These measures form part of the kennel’s health-focused approach and support informed breeding choices for each litter. Puppies are raised in contact with other dogs and children, encouraging early socialisation. They leave with a pedigree, complete vaccination, an official sales contract and a health guarantee. Blue Bird's Castle places importance on the sociable nature and balanced temperament of its Shar-Pei puppies.
