of the first Sunlight

The Cattery of the first Sunlight is dedicated to breeding British Shorthair cats in Witten, North Rhine-Westphalia. The enthusiasm for this breed began in October 2007, when the first blue British Shorthair cat moved into the family. Intensive engagement with the breed gave rise to the desire to breed responsibly themselves. The Cattery's first litter was born as early as 2008. After almost two years of breeding work, the activity was initially interrupted for private reasons. This pause was part of the history of the breeding program, before work with British Shorthair cats was resumed later. Today, the bond with the cats remains at the heart of of the first Sunlight. The Cattery combines its long-standing enthusiasm for the British Shorthair with the joy of breeding and looks back on its journey from its first experiences to the resumption of breeding.
