Aus der Wutzelgrube breeds Standard Wirehaired Dachshunds in Lengede, in southeastern Lower Saxony. The focus is on the rare color varieties Red/Dry Leaf as well as Wild Boar and Dark Wild Boar. The breeding takes place within the Deutscher Teckelklub 1888 e. V. and is aimed at lovers of these special Dachshunds. The puppies spend their first time in the house and garden and are not kept in kennels. Careful selection of the breeding dogs as well as early imprinting and socialization are given high priority. The aim is for affectionate, even-tempered, calm and steady family dogs to grow up. When placing the puppies, the breeder makes sure that the dogs live in the house as closely integrated family members. Even for Dachshunds used for hunting, keeping them exclusively in kennels is out of the question. The planned litters are intended to produce puppies that can prove themselves both as hunting companions and at shows.
