Vust Mellegaard Boston Terrier breeder in Fjerritslev · Denmark

Vust Mellegaard is a Boston Terrier breeder in Fjerritslev with DKK breeder training. The breeding programme follows the FCI standard and prioritises breed-typical characteristics, health and well-being. The parent dogs are at least Danish champions, and among the dogs there are also several international champions. The breeding dogs follow a fixed health programme with examinations for patellar luxation and hemivertebrae, as well as eye examinations and DNA testing for juvenile cataracts. The puppies grow up in the family home, where they encounter children, everyday sounds and various experiences. Thorough socialisation is intended to give them a secure starting point for their new life. The breeding programme places emphasis on honesty, presence and ongoing contact with the puppies’ families throughout the dog’s life. For those interested in showing, advice and support are offered for both preparation and participation. The community is also strengthened through an annual puppy reunion and other social gatherings.
