Afef is a hobby Maine Coon cattery located in Predappio, active for several years and holding a registered cattery name. The activity is exclusively dedicated to the breed and has developed its own selective line, which includes a Siberian strain. The selection prioritizes healthy cats with a typical appearance, large, well-furred ears, a glossy coat and a balanced muzzle.
The pedigrees include grandparents awarded the title of European champions. Breeding cats undergo testing for HCM, PKD, PKDef, FIV and FeLV, as well as echocardiography; the kittens’ parents can be seen. The kittens also have documentation relating to genetic analyses.
The Maine Coon kittens grow up in a family environment, accustomed to the litter box, attention and the presence of children. They are entrusted dewormed, microchipped and with a complete vaccination course. Afef mainly offers companion kittens with a contract, reserving some selected individuals for breeding as well.
