A menu for every age
Needs change over time

Adult : Controlled ration in two meals, adjusted to ideal weight and actual activity.
Senior : Digestible food, possibly less energy-dense, with joint and dental monitoring.
Which food?
Kibble, wet food, or home-cooked diet?
A complete, balanced and quality diet must be chosen according to the dog's age, size and physical activity.
Amounts
How much should you give?
The daily amount must be individualized according to the dog's weight, age, body condition and physical activity.
| Weight | Daily amount | Meals/day |
|---|---|---|
| 14 - 17 kg | 278 - 381 g | 2 |
| 17 - 20 kg | 326 - 447 g | 2 |
| 20 - 23 kg | 341 - 468 g | 2 |
Change
Managing the food transition
Any change in diet must be carried out gradually in order to preserve digestive balance.
Hydration
Water: do not overlook it
Fresh, clean water must remain available at all times, especially after exercise and in hot weather.
Little extras
Treats, in moderation
Treats should remain occasional and be included in the daily ration in order to limit weight gain.
Good habits
For a top-notch bowl
- Weigh the ration each day rather than serving by volume.
- Avoid intense exertion just before and after the meal.
- Deduct training treats from the daily ration.
Never give
Chocolate, grapes and raisins, onion, garlic, xylitol, alcohol, caffeine and cooked bones should be avoided due to their toxic, digestive or traumatic risks.
