Breckmarsh Gundogs

Established in 2008, Breckmarsh Gundogs is a dog breeder in Ludlow, Shropshire, specialising in English Cocker Spaniels and Welsh Springer Spaniels. Its work grew from hands-on experience preparing spaniels for rough shooting, followed by breeding from carefully developed working Cocker and Springer lines. The kennel focuses on versatile spaniels suited both to the shooting field and to field-trial competition. Its breeding and training programme draws on extensive trialling experience, including the production of ten field trial champions as well as successes in open and novice stakes. The breeder remains involved with working and competitive spaniels. Set amid the Shropshire countryside, Breckmarsh Gundogs benefits from varied ground and cover for practical training. Facilities include a three-acre training pen, stocked for the purpose, while the surrounding terrain can be used to recreate differing hunting situations. The kennel also contributes to the sport through judging working tests and trials.
