The Kennel Club

The Kennel Club is a small-scale, home-based dog breeder in Doncaster, raising Border Collies, Irish Terriers and Blue Bay Shepherds as valued family companions rather than in a kennel environment. It holds a five-star council licence and is Kennel Club Assured. Its dogs are appreciated for their temperament, soundness and conformation, and participate in dog sports and obedience. Health is central to the breeding programme, with DNA screening for inherited conditions, BVA eye examinations, and BVA hip and elbow assessments. Further breed-relevant tests are added when available. Mating plans are carefully considered through pedigree research and the selection of suitable studs, with the aim of producing balanced, versatile puppies. Puppies leave with documentation, a microchip, first vaccination, veterinary health check, insurance and a contract. Familiar toys, bedding, food and treats accompany them. Drawing on more than 20 years of experience and relevant qualifications, the breeder offers continuing advice and keeps its practices informed by veterinary research and current guidance.
