Terra Civis

Terra Civis is a small-scale Chinese Crested Dog breeder based in Maßbach, in northern Lower Franconia. Its kennel name combines “Terra”, meaning Earth, with “Civis”, meaning citizen, and expresses the idea of shared citizenship of the Earth. Dogs are raised as part of a pack and prepared for a broad range of ordinary experiences. Their upbringing includes contact with adults and children, dogs of different sizes, common household and environmental noises, and the contrasting settings of village and city life. They also become accustomed to the atmosphere of dog exhibitions. This approach emphasizes physical wellbeing, strength of character and sound social development while maintaining purebred qualities. Terra Civis is affiliated with the Club for Exotic Dog Breeds (CER) e.V. and the German Kennel Club (VDH) e.V., within the VDH and FCI framework.
