Raad van Beheer is a hobby kennel for Labrador Retrievers in Wernhout. The love for the breed arose from companionship and grew through puppy training, further training and hunting training. Over the course of eight years, the pack was further expanded, and interest in careful breeding also increased.
For the development of the kennel, puppies were brought in from, among others, the Czech Republic and the United States. Raising and socialising young dogs shortly after one another provided intensive but valuable experiences. The kennel is certified and regards breeding as a serious hobby.
The kennel is affiliated with the Nederlandse Labrador Vereniging and the Labradorkring. The dogs comply with the breeding regulations and are examined for hip and elbow dysplasia, in addition to the mandatory annual eye examination. An extensive DNA profile is available for every dog. Both the kennel's own dogs and the stud dogs used have a pedigree from the Raad van Beheer and are selected with attention to health and typical breed characteristics.
