Del Velino Sirente

Del Velino Sirente breeds Maremma and Abruzzese Sheepdogs, the Italian livestock guardian officially known as the Cane da pastore Maremmano Abruzzese. Its work continues a family tradition linked to this breed in the Abruzzo region, where several names were once used for these sheepdogs. The dogs live with sheep every day, accompanying the flock to mountain pastures and staying close to the enclosure at night. Given freedom from their earliest days, they remain beside the animals and are presented as guardians able to face wolves, bears and other wild predators. The kennel may have puppies and adult dogs already familiar with livestock work. It reports international transport for puppies and dogs, as well as the possibility of shipping frozen semen from breeding males. Its selection emphasises the breed’s traditional role at the flock’s side.
