# Feeding your Slovakian Hound well
Slovakia
The Slovak Hound needs a balanced, high-quality diet, adapted to its age, size and level of physical activity.
A menu for every age
## Their needs change as they grow
- Puppy: Choose a complete diet suited to growth and split meals according to age, following the weight curve with the veterinarian.
- Adult: Adjust the ration to the intensity of activity, higher during hunting or working periods.
- Senior: Reassess energy intake and the digestibility of the diet when activity decreases, while monitoring muscle mass.
Which food?
## Kibble, wet food, or homemade meals?
A complete, quality diet for an active dog is appropriate, provided that its composition and energy density correspond to the dog's age, weight, body condition and level of exercise.

## How much should you feed?
