# Feeding your Russian-European Laika well

The diet of the Russo-European Laika must support an active, muscular and enduring dog. It must be of good quality, easily digestible and adjusted to age, weight, activity level and season.
A menu for every age
## Their needs change as they grow
- Puppy: Growth food adapted to the expected size, divided into three meals, without unnecessary calcium supplementation.
- Adult: Controlled ration in two meals, adjusted to ideal weight and actual activity.
- Senior: Digestible food, possibly less energy-dense, with joint and dental monitoring.

## Kibble, wet food, or homemade meals?
Premium complete kibble for an active medium-sized dog is generally suitable, with an appropriate content of animal proteins and fats. The ration must be reviewed according to the intensity of the effort, the outside temperature and the body condition.
