# Feeding your Pyrenean Shepherd well

Despite its energy, the Pyrenean Shepherd is satisfied with moderate quantities. A complete, digestible ration adapted to its age, its weight, its activity level and its physiological status helps support its musculature while avoiding excess weight.
A menu for every age
## Their needs change as they grow
- Puppy: Divide a growth food for an active small dog into three meals, then gradually reduce to two.
- Adult: Serve two measured meals and adjust the ration to the activity level and body condition.
- Senior: Choose a digestible and less energy-dense formula if activity decreases, while preserving quality proteins.
Which food?
## Kibble, wet food, or homemade meals?
High-quality kibble for a small active dog is suitable if it provides digestible animal proteins, appropriate fats and a complete mineral balance. Wet or home-prepared food can also be considered, provided it is formulated with a veterinarian in order to avoid deficiencies.
