# Feeding your Italian Hound well
Italy
The Italian Hound needs a balanced, rich and high-quality diet, adapted to its age, its size and its level of physical activity.
A menu for every age
## Their needs change as they grow
- Puppy: Growth food adapted to the size, in three meals up to six months then two, without calcium supplement or intense exercise.
- Adult: Ration adjusted to ideal weight and activity level, in two meals, with regular monitoring of body shape.
- Senior: Digestible food, less energy-dense, possibly with joint support, while monitoring weight and appetite.
Which food?
## Kibble, wet food, or homemade meals?
A complete, high-quality diet must cover its energy expenditure, particularly when it regularly practices hunting or a sporting activity.

## How much should you feed?
The daily amount must be adjusted to its age, its size and its level of physical activity.

## How to switch foods successfully
