Origins

## Where does it come from?

Competitions for pointing dogs were organized from the end of the 19th century in Hungary, where it distinguished itself in a remarkable way. More sustained breeding programs emerged from 1920 onwards. The Fédération Cynologique Internationale recognized the breed for the first time in 1936, then definitively on 12 August 1954.
