# Feeding your Frisian Water Dog well

The Frisian Water Dog needs a quality diet suited to its age, its size and its level of physical activity. A very active dog or one used for work requires a higher energy intake than that of a more sedentary companion.
A menu for every age
## Their needs change as they grow
- Puppy: Choose a complete food for the growth of medium-sized dogs, divided into several meals and adjusted to the pace of development.
- Adult: Adjust the ration to the actual activity in order to support the effort without promoting weight gain.
- Senior: Reassess energy intake and choose a formula suited to mobility, digestion and health status.

## Kibble, wet food, or homemade meals?
A complete diet for a medium-sized dog, rich in quality animal proteins and properly balanced in fats, vitamins and minerals, is suitable for the breed. The choice between kibble, wet food or a home-prepared ration must ensure a verified nutritional balance.
