# Feeding your Canary Hound well

The Podenco Canario needs a quality diet capable of supporting sustained physical activity without promoting excesses. A highly digestible ration, rich in animal proteins and correctly dosed, helps maintain its lean muscle mass and energy level.
A menu for every age
## Their needs change as they grow
- Puppy: Growth must be supported by a complete food for medium-sized puppies, divided into several meals and without excess energy in order to protect locomotor development.
- Adult: In adulthood, a stable and well-measured ration helps maintain a lean silhouette and a good level of endurance, with adjustments according to actual activity.
- Senior: In the older dog, the ration must remain digestible, calorie-controlled and adapted to the level of exercise to preserve mobility and avoid muscle wasting.
