# Feeding your Boxer well

The Boxer can receive a complete and balanced diet based on high-quality kibble, adapted to its age, its size, its activity and its state of health.
A menu for every age
## Their needs change as they grow
- Puppy up to 4 months: Divide the daily ration into four meals to support development.
- Young and adult: Divide the daily ration into two meals, in the morning and in the evening.
- Senior: Adjust the energy intake, digestibility and texture to the body condition and veterinary recommendations.
Which food?
## Kibble, wet food, or homemade meals?
High-quality kibble providing animal proteins, fats, minerals and vitamins in suitable proportions is an appropriate option. The specific choice must be adjusted with the veterinarian in case of digestive sensitivity, allergy or illness.
Portion sizes
## How much should you feed?
The daily ration must follow the manufacturer's recommendations then be adapted to body condition, activity level and the veterinarian's advice. In adults, it is preferably divided into two meals.

### Never feed these foods
Chocolate, grapes and raisins, onion, garlic, xylitol, alcohol, caffeine, macadamia nuts and cooked bones should be avoided, as they can cause poisoning, digestive lesions or other serious complications.
