# Feeding your Bourbonnais Pointer well

The Braque du Bourbonnais needs a complete, digestible diet adapted to its activity level. The needs of a companion dog differ greatly from those of a dog hunting for several hours, which requires adjusting the ration according to actual expenditure.
A menu for every age
## Their needs change as they grow
- Puppy: offer a growth food for a medium-sized dog, divided into three meals then two, without speeding up weight gain.
- Adult: adapt the energy intake to the actual activity, gradually increasing the ration during periods of sustained hunting.
- Senior: favor an easily digestible diet, regularly monitor weight and adjust intake according to mobility and veterinary advice.
